I know that pain.

Here’s how to solve it: Use Word for text and preliminary draft, leave spaces for desired images, save as PDF, open PDF in Adobe Pro DC, add images and edit text as needed.

That’s why my resume is just text with a header and separated sections. It is updated constantly so it can’t break when it is.

all you have to do is click on the image with the right click and send image behind text. now you can move image anywhere since it is no longer seen as text

Mine is just text too, but I still run into this issue from time to time.

Mine is in excel, of all things. It actually works well.

This is because when I was applying for my current job, I didn’t have a good version of photoshop or illustrator, both of which would be better than Word’s layout functionality.

How about I move the image of my fist to your face?

I don’t know how Word manages to fail so bad. It is the only program on my PC which consistently lags during normal use.

Uninstall Word. Learn LaTeX.

Right click > Arrange > move forward or move back

May have to toggle if a fight ensues.

LaTeX all the things!

I actually had an interviewer once ask me how I prepared my resume, just because it stood out from the endless Word-generated ones he normally saw.

it’s funny because it’s true.

though to be fair, Word is a word processor, not a page layout app.

I’ll check it out. Although googling “latex” is going to give me a lot of, uh, interesting results.
